THE MISSION

Avalon Music Group is on a mission to create scripture-heavy, Christian music to send to ends of the earth for FREE.

All songs are made with the American King James Version.
A slightly modernised translation faithful to the grammar, structure and wording of the King James Version.

THE VISION

To proclaim the truth of God’s Word live on stage.
This is more than simply putting a big show, it’s about declaring the sovereingty of our Lord and Saviour.

Yes. Always.

No. All of this music is copyrighted.

No. All of this music is copyrighted. For Public Domain music, head to FreePD.com.

Yes, you can sing over, chop, splice, compress, lengthen, and add instruments to anything you like. You MUST make it clear in the credits which parts are yours, and which parts are mine. There is no need to mention if you cut and splice.

Yes. Credits change from media to media – but in general a credit needs to be placed such that a person who wants to know where the music came from should have no difficulty in finding it. A reasonable effort may be expended (e.g. clicking on a credits option) but the credit should not be obscured.

If you are interested in using a piece in a television broadcast or radio commercial, or some other format where credits are impossible, obtain a Standard License. You will need to contact me directly in order to do this.

Yes, AND you can monetize the videos.
Be sure to add the correct credits.

Yes, you may use the music, but you must include proper credit.

Credits must be presented in a way that a viewer or listener can reasonably find them without difficulty. The exact method can vary depending on the platform or medium, but the following elements must be included:

  • My name (Josh Day)
  • The title(s) of the music used
  • A link to the source: avalonmusicgroup.co.uk
  • The license: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0

Examples for Twitch or other live streaming platforms:

1. Add a “Music” section to your profile page
List the names of all tracks used, followed by:
by Josh Day (avalonmusicgroup.co.uk)
Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0

This method satisfies all requirements.

2. Use a link overlay on your stream
Instead of listing all the information on your profile, display a link during the stream that directs users to a page where the above credit details are clearly shown. You can also include the link on your profile.

3. Display credit information directly as an on-screen overlay
Show the required credit info on-screen during your stream, either continuously or at intervals.

4. Announce the credits live during your stream
If you prefer not to display text or use overlays, you can simply read the credit details aloud during your broadcast.

Any of these methods will meet the requirements of the Creative Commons license.
